Course Information & Differences
What is the difference between a BLS class and a CPR/AED class?
BLS (Basic Life Support): This is a high-level certification designed for healthcare professionals, first responders, and contract medical personnel, such as those working at base hospitals and clinics. It focuses on team-based resuscitation, advanced airway management, and professional-grade choking relief.
CPR/AED & First Aid: This course is tailored for the general public and non-medical professionals, such as daycare workers, fitness instructors, and church groups. It focuses on single-rescuer techniques and basic lifesaving care.
Who should take the First Aid course?
Our standard First Aid course is ideal for individuals who need to meet regulatory or workplace safety requirements, as well as anyone wanting to be prepared for everyday emergencies. This includes childcare providers, preschool teachers, gym staff, fitness instructors, and local businesses with high staff turnover. It is also perfect for military contractors and healthcare personnel on installations who need a convenient way to maintain their mandatory workplace credentials.
What is the FAST course, and who should take it?
FAST stands for First Aid for Severe Trauma, an American Red Cross curriculum. This specialized course focuses strictly on massive hemorrhage control, wound packing, and proper tourniquet application under pressure. It is highly recommended for tactical teams, high-risk work environments, security personnel, park rangers, and anyone looking for advanced, combat-medic-level bleeding control training.
What is the S-CAT course, and who should take it?
S-CAT stands for Safety Compliance Awareness Training – Active Shooter, Workplace Violence, an EMR curriculum. This course emphasizes situational awareness, threat detection, scene safety, and proactive de-escalation strategies during critical security events. It is specifically built for corporate offices, clinic administrators, front-desk personnel, gym managers, and anyone working in public-facing or high-traffic environments where proactive safety planning is essential.
Are your courses accredited?
Yes. Our certifications align with the latest American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), Health & Safety Institute (HSI), and Emergency Management Resources (EMR).
Logistics & Scheduling
How long do the classes take?
Class lengths vary depending on the course type and whether you choose a full in-person class or a blended learning option.
Full In-Person Classes: Typically take 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on the specific course curriculum and student count.
Blended Learning (Online + In-Person Skills Session): The hands-on portion takes about 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on whether it is an AHA or ARC course, after you complete the online coursework at your own pace.

Your certification is valid for two years from the date of course completion.
